SWOT analysis is a basic strategic planning method that is used to determine the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats in a project. This is an extremely effective tool that can be used in the first stage of planning a project because it helps determine what key problems there might be, breaking down the entire project itself.
The SWOT analysis is an evaluation strategy because not only does it help begin a project, but it is a tool that can be used to reflect on an ongoing project. The strengths and weaknesses are the internal factors that will help you with the project or might slow you down. The opportunities and threats are external factors becase they can be beneficial or harmful to the project itself. Whereas an analysis fundamentally breaks down information for better understanding, the SWOT analysis uses that strategy but focuses specifically on elements that can help a project succeed.
